LoadRunner and ORA-12197: TNS:keyword-value resolution error

Morning

I recorded a simple Oracle 2-Tier script in LoadRunner this morning for a SQLplus session but got the following error when I played back and it attempted to connect to the database “ORA-12197: TNS:keyword-value resolution error.”

Not much on the HP support site but it suggested looking at the tnsnames.ora file. For the DB in question it is as follows

TESTDB.WORLD =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(FAILOVER = ON)
(LOAD_BALANCE = ON)
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = TESTBOX)(PORT = 1725))
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = TESTBOX)(PORT = 1726))
)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = TEST.MYCOMPANY.COM)
)
)

If I edit the tnsnames.ora file to remove the multiple ports to the text below it works.

TESTDB.WORLD =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = TEXTBOX)(PORT = 1726))
)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = TEST.MYCOMPANY.COM)
)
)

OK so solved one problem and created another as I am potentially oveloading one of the TNS listners.. Thats a question for the DBA & HP but I can in part get round it I think by creating different tnsnames.ora files on the multiple load injectors!
